Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update #1

Dear Customer

State and Federal Governments continue to implement further measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, including the closing of State borders.

As a provider of transport and logistics services, Action Couriers is providing an essential service and will continue to operate.

At present it is business as usual for us. Our staff members are available and customer orders continue to be dispatched and delivered to all locations as normal.

Business continuity measures

In response to the changing environment, Action Couriers has implemented business continuity plans across all our sites and operations nationally and, in conjunction with our supply chain partners (including independent carriers and suppliers), measures are in place to ensure our business continues to operate.

A response management team comprising the executive and representatives from each of the core businesses has been working tirelessly to ensure the business continuity plans in place keep our people and those in our supply chain safe and remain dynamic and adaptable to the ever changing environment currently being experienced.

Current status and preventative measures

Action Couriers has not had any confirmed cases of COVID-19. Action Couriers has implemented preventative measures around health, hygiene and cleaning practices, contact free deliveries, numerous social distancing and remote working measures, travel restrictions and associated quarantine and isolation requirements.

At present we have not experienced any significant disruptions in our supply chain.

Communication

This is an unpredictable and unprecedented event and there may be occasions outside of Action Couriers control, such as further Government restrictions, which could disrupt services.

Action Couriers will continue to communicate with our customers during this highly unpredictable time and should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Action Couriers representative.

The evolving impact of COVID-19

Action Couriers is closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and the impact this will have across supply chains.

While the extent and timing of the impact of this crisis is uncertain, Action Couriers has undertaken a review of activities across all business units in order to put in place appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure continuation of service to customers.

Action Couriers appreciates its position as a key logistics partner to your business. Our priority is to protect the safety of our workforce and in turn, maintain an ongoing, reliable and timely service to all customers across our national footprint.

Preventative measures

In addition to putting in place recommended precautions around hygiene and other health practices, Action Couriers has implemented the following preventative measures to protect our people and continue to service your business:

  • Contact free deliveries, with recipient identification as proof of delivery
  • Reducing face-to-face meetings with both internal and external parties
  • Limiting and controlling access to all Action Couriers facilities and strict visitor induction protocols
  • Segregation between staff where possible in line with social distancing guidelines and remote working
  • Working in dedicated teams and controlling the use of site facilities
  • Where possible, splitting workforces across shifts or across different physical locations to avoid cross-infection
  • Redundancy plans are in place for key operational roles
  • Access to deep cleaning and sanitation services if the need arises
  • Proactively engaging with our on-site labour supply partners
  • Restrictions on travel in line with Government updates and associated quarantine and isolation measures.

Communication

Clear and transparent communication is key during times of uncertainty like those we are currently experiencing.

Action Couriers recognises each customer will have its own set of circumstances and requirements for working through this situation and that these may change as we move forward. We ask that you maintain contact with your Action Couriers representative if this is the case so we can work proactively with you to ensure a positive outcome.

We also ask that you understand this is an unpredictable and unprecedented event and there may be occasions where there are disruptions to services outside of Action Couriers control, for example, as a result of Government advice or regulation.
